Rishab Shetty is currently on a busy schedule, touring Bengaluru while also working on his upcoming movie - the prequel of Kantara - in his hometown of Kundapura. Recently, he achieved significant success at the 70th National Awards, winning awards for Best Actor and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. This isn't his first national recognition, as he previously won for Best Children’s Film for his movie "Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shale Kasaragodu" in 2018. Rishab expressed his joy at finally realizing his long-held dream of winning a national award, something he has aspired to since entering the industry two decades ago. He emphasized the honor and prestige associated with such accolades, dedicating his latest award to his team, the people of Keradi, and the daiva nartakas. Rishab credits the success of "Kantara" to his roots and the support he received from his village, acknowledging the influence of divine blessings.
Regarding the current state of the cinema industry, Rishab believes that providing audiences with a memorable experience is key to attracting them to theaters. He suggests that focusing on creating engaging and satisfying content, rather than solely relying on grand productions, is crucial for drawing people back to cinemas.
